Not all stainless steel is the same. Many companies advertise “stainless steel” patio heaters but most do reveal their grade of stainless steel quality. Most competitors' heaters utilize type 304 stainless steel. However, through continuous research and experience we found 304 stainless steel insufficient for installations along the coast and therefore subject to salt water spray or in certain locations, the corrosive effects of air pollution, or even the effects of chlorine in swimming pool environments.
We are proud to announce our high output series— the only gas patio heater offering this material option for extreme use applications. Regarded as "the standard marine grade stainless steel," 316 stainless material provides superior corrosion resistance. We use our optional 316 stainless material for patio heater's main construction, including the reflector and burner component compartment. If your application is regarded as extreme, the additional charge is minimum to ensure that your patio heater will withstand the forces of your local environment.
